In this chapter Yancey defines reflection as” the processes by which we know what we have accomplished and by which we articulate accomplishment and the products of those processes.” The article that I found would define reflection as “coming to a conclusion and then analyzing the steps that you took to achieve that conclusion. She uses other professionals’ definitions of reflection in her article and uses other scholars’ ideas to support her stance. According to Yancey reflection allows you to articulate what we have learned for ourselves. I would say reflection and rhetorical situation and audience are linked through the writer because when you are setting up a situation for the audience you have to take to reflect on why you are doing so. When you think about genre you have to think about your audience, your writing style and all of these require a reflection on your old work and what you are trying to accomplish with your text. This information does match what I found on my website about reflection because the connection between these definitions require you to analyze the steps you took to achieve the meaning of each definition.

What I want reader to achieve by looking at this picture is to analyze what the information they have received and break it down on why things happened, how they happened and then put everything together so that your thought make sense.
